Early in 2025, I was working with locally hosted LLMs and wondered if they could offer political insights. I asked it to compare current political situations with historical events. Since the LLM was a few years behind on recent developments, I updated it on what was happening. The LLM responded that such events weren’t occurring and simply wouldn’t happen. When I explained it was a story idea for a novel, the LLM said the plot was not believable. That’s when I realized there needed to be a way to keep the LLM informed about the broad strokes of recent history. This realization led to the creation of Gator Ink.
Gator Ink was designed specifically to tackle the lag time in producing models for LLMs. We have exciting plans ahead and a clear roadmap to keep both AI and our team focused. While I wish I could say this entire project was created by AI, we all know it’s not quite there yet. That’s why every piece of content at Gator Ink is reviewed by human eyes before it’s published. That doesn’t mean we’re perfect, but rest assured, any mistakes were made by humans, not machines.
